Ozolnieki are is one of the most developed ones in Zemgale region.

In sports Ozolnieki is a leader in Latvia half a century already. Ozolnieki volleyball club is repeated state champion. „Poliurs/Biolar” team has carried off a historical title of the first champion of international „Schenker” volleyball league under the supervision of couch Jury Daveikus, who also is a coach of Latvia team.

Ozolnieki area motorcyclists are well known in the world. Son of Soviet Union champion Shteinbergs has become a real star of mototr racing. He is a champion of the word and junior champion in 125 cm³ class as well as Latvia champion in open class.

Kaspars Vernieks is a junior trial champion of Latvia and one of the best in international championships.

Other sportsmen Agris Neya call king of the motor road. Now he goes on quadrocycles as well. Agris is Latvia champion and winner of Eastern Europe cup in Superbike class.

On the territory of Ozolnieki high school motor museum is developed under the supervision of Alfreds Zamockis.

Ozolnieki is a base for waverunner club Latvia Jet Ski Racing Team established by owner of Iecavkrasti complex Janis Uzars. There are 10 club members including world champion Nelly Schlegelmilh, champion of Baltic States Liene Allere et al. In 2009 Janis Uzars winned the first prizes in Baltic region, Latvia and Estonia in Ski Stock and Ski GP classes.

Klavs Lisovskis – winner of several Latvia contests, has achieved BMX world vicechampion title.

Every year a contest is organized between Ozolnieki and Ventspils teams in tag-of-war.

Ozolnieki has it’s own ice hockey team successfully participating in Latvia open. There is an Ice Hall in Ozolnieki village.

Traditions of running are established almost three decades ago. Now quite popular events in our country are „Circles of Ozolnieki” and „Ozolnieki invites”.

There are three horse breeding centers in area, where some may obtain riding skills and learn theory jf hypology. Horse breeding center „Muski” is situated only 3,6 km from Iecavkrasti.  

Ozolnieki Sports Center, Ozolnieki high school gym and Ice Hall provides opportunities for training.
